Lowertown is a very small community spread around the sides of the river Cober valley. The lanes through the hamlet are very narrow, there are no footpaths or streetlighting. Children walking to school, horse riders, dog walkers and pedestrians in general need to share the road with traffic. Speeding has become an issue, with several near misses. As a result this project was launched.

Three designs were chosen and made into A2 signs. Subsequently these were installed in strategic locations in and around Lowertown.
