Picture of Stamps which used to be working on the site of the bungalow called Melville (situated on the right hand side of the lane as you go down towards the river on the Wendron side of Lowertown)
Thank you very much for your comments and info – sorry it has taken a bit of time to get back to you. I am collecting information to put it on the website. My husband Owen is very interested in the mining and we are gathering more detail on it. The photo of the stamps was given to me by the owner of the bungalow built on the site of the stamps and Melville is the name of the bungalow – the stamps may have had another name as they were owned I believe by J P A Harvey who owned Hammerfield House. Best wishes Carrie Baker
I would be really interested in seeing the stamp sites etc – thank you very much. You may have already met Owen as he is a member of the Trevithic Society and I think visited some of your sites a few years ago. We have our family here for a week at Easter but wondered if I could contact you at the end of the week to arrange to meet you. Owen showed me the Agricola drawing.
We live in Lowertown and know Ronnie – you may have seen in the Packet that he opened our refurbished phone box – now the Book Box last week.
Hello We are aquainted with Mayor of Lowertown, Ronnie Jenkins Anvower Mill he allowed me to take a photo of his photo, of the stamps on your site. I have research the Cober valley where I live and we have some interesting features to do with Tin stamps site here ar Trelubbas. Are you fairly local?
I am very interested in the local history of this area. I have a photo similar to this and I am interested to see the name of the stamps as Melville.

Hello Carrie and Owen
If your interested I could show you our stamp sites and other historic features here at Trelubbas Wartha.
This is a fairly good time to see because the undergrowth has not had time to grow, yet.
Lowertown formed part of Trelubbas once 99 acres stretching then and now to Coverack Bridges.
Tickles me the cloths in the Agricola drawing
yours sincerely
